Jaldoot is a flagship project of Sevavardhini in water management, which combines community participation with a scientific approach to managing water at a micro level. A typical cycle for the project may last 1 to 2 years and will be approached as follows.
Sevavardhini has been working with this model since 2015 and has positively impacted close to 50 villages so far. The results are astonishing and can be easily judged from the video below as well as by visiting the villages. Third party audits have also confirmed the enormous and long term contribution of the Jaldoots on the community and beyond.
About 100 trained Jaldoots are now working to take this journey forward. Many of them have made an impact even beyond their village and are working at Tehsil and District levels.
For funding agencies interested in the model, the approximate cost is given below.
